Saturday morning
Cleaning and listening to the new radio 4 9am programme, this time about writing a novel. Hmm, maybe I should take another look at the writing I did in 2004? Anyway, cousin Adam should be honoured. I’ve hoovered (roomba did it really), cleaned the kitchen (using white wine vinegar with lavender essential oil – I wonder if I could sell this as a cleaning product – it’s so much nicer to use than bleach or detergent), I’ve even replaced the broken toilet handle (though one screw has gone missing, there appears to be one extra, and the thing wobbles slightly. It still looks nice. I wonder if I should charge the estate agent for my plumbing services! – which reminds me, they’ve not come round to fix the ceiling above my bed which leaks in the rain & leaves bits of plaster on my pillow).
The tomatoes are flourishing with the bath water going into them. They seem to have grown 2 inches overnight. I wonder if I can stretch the hose pipe through the house to fill up the bath a bit in the front garden?
Right, probably time to get dressed.
Been to park. We had a swallows & amazons committee meeting, played some games, made some decisions & gave out some leaflets. Then I met the lovely Lisa for a coffee at the MAC. I’ve hardly seen her since she was made editor of the paper she works for.
Sunday morning – up early cleaning again. My flatmate didn’t sleep well because she was up worrying about Israel Lebanon. We were talking about how many people would have to go on hunger strike to stop this happening.
